Mission San Luis Obispo

If you are a California 4th grader, or the parent or friend of a California 4th grader who has been assigned  to prepare a project on Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, you may wish to contact the San Luis Obispo County Historical Society and Museum, which has available a Mission Project Packet designed to help you with this project.

This packet contains some 40 pages of timelines, information, and historical reprints from the local newspapers.  Read about the French saint who gave his name to the mission, about the restoration of the Mission after its disastrous fire in 1920, about the man who spent a lifetime ringing the mission's bells, and more.

Any or all of the packet material may be used in the preparation of your mission project.
